David Gonzalez, M.D., Medical Director
David Gonzalez, M.D. joined Brook Lane in 1995 and has served as Medical Director since 1999. Dr. Gonzalez works with the adult inpatient population and maintains an adult outpatient practice in addition to his administrative duties. He is board certified by the American Board of Psychiatry & Neurology in General Psychiatry with added qualifications in Geriatric Psychiatry. Dr. Gonzalez received his medical degree from the National University of Mexico. His areas of special interest include mood disorders, psychotic disorders, anxiety disorders, electro-convulsive therapy and psychopharmacology.
   
Maximilian Badoy, M.D.
Maximilian Badoy, M.D. joined the medical staff in 2007 as an outpatient child and adolescent psychiatrist. Dr. Badoy is board certified by the American Board of Psychiatry & Neurology in General Psychiatry and Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. He received his medical degree from the University of Santo Tomas, Manila, Philippines. Dr Badoy’s areas of special interest include attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, depression, and anxiety.
   
   
J. Emmet Burke, Ph.D., J.D., Clinical Director
J. Emmet Burke, Ph.D., J.D. has been on staff at Brook Lane since 1980. He is the Clinical Director and an Admitting Psychologist. Dr. Burke holds a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from The Catholic University of America in Washington, D.C and a Juris Doctorate from the University of Maryland School of Law. Dr. Burke is a licensed psychologist in Maryland. In addition to his responsibilities as the Clinical Director, Dr. Burke performs competency and criminal responsibility evaluations for the Maryland Office of Forensic Services, consults at the Allegany County Health Department and has clinical privileges at Sacred Heart Hospital in Cumberland, Maryland.
   
Eric Carbonell, M.D.
Eric Carbonell, M.D. joined the Brook Lane Medical Staff in January 2009. He is a certified child and adolescent psychiatrist. Dr. Carbonell will be working with young people in the hospital and in the partial hospitalization program. Dr. Carbonell received his medical degree from the Medical University of South Carolina, Charleston, SC. His areas of special interest include treating obsessive compulsive disorder, tourettes syndrome, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, depression, bipolar disorder and pervasive developmental disorder.
   
John H. Carrill, M.D.
John H. Carrill, M.D. has been on staff at Brook Lane since 1979. He is an outpatient child and adolescent psychiatrist at our North Village Office. Dr. Carrill is board certified by the American Board of Psychiatry & Neurology in General Psychiatry. He received his medical degree from the University of Maryland School of Medicine. Dr. Carrill's areas of special interest include attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, depression, anxiety, panic disorders and psychopharmacology.
   
Angela Dumitrache, M.D.
Angela Dumitrache, M.D. joined the Medical Staff in September 2009 as a child and adolescent psychiatrist. She is working in our Frederick location providing outpatient treatment. She holds Board Certifications in General Psychiatry, Addiction Psychiatry, and Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. Dr. Dumitrache received her medical degree from Carol Davila University, Bucharest, Romania. She completed her Psychiatry Residency and Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Fellowship at The State University of New York Health Science Center, Brooklyn, New York. Dr. Dumitrache finished her Addiction Psychiatry Fellowship at Beth Israel Medical Center, New York, New York. Dr. Dumitrache has a special interest in developmental disabilities, mood disorders, substance abuse and common mental health issues.
   
Jamal Fawaz, M.D.
Jamal Fawaz, M.D. joined the medical staff in 1997. He is an outpatient adult psychiatrist. Dr. Fawaz is board certified by the American Board of Psychiatry & Neurology in both General Psychiatry and Addiction Psychiatry. He received his medical degree from Spartan Health Sciences University, West Indies. Dr. Fawaz’s areas of special interest include anxiety, depression, mood disorders, panic disorders and psychopharmacology.
   
Tiesha Johnson, CRNP
Tiesha Johnson, CRNP joined the medical staff in October 2009 and works in the hospital with children and adolescents. She is a Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner in Family Psychiatric/Mental Health. Ms. Johnson completed her Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 2003 and her Master’s Degree in Psychiatric/Mental Health – Child & Adolescent Advance Practice Nursing in 2008 at the University of Rochester School of Nursing, Rochester, New York. Ms. Johnson enjoys working with children, adolescents and families dealing with all types of disorders and behaviors.
   
Corriene V. Kurz, M.D.
Corriene V. Kurz, M.D. joined the medical staff in 1994. She is a child and adolescent psychiatrist and works with outpatients. Dr. Kurz is board certified by the American Board of Psychiatry & Neurology in both General Psychiatry and Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. She received her medical degree from the University of Texas Medical Branch. Dr. Kurz’s areas of special interest include attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, anxiety, mood disorders and depression. She has a particular interest in trans-cultural psychiatry, bilingualism and multilingualism, and childhood language acquisition.
   
Mohammed Zubair Latif, M.D.
Mohammed Zubair Latif, M.D. joined the medical staff in 2002. He is an adult outpatient psychiatrist. Dr. Latif is board certified by the American Board of Psychiatry & Neurology in General Psychiatry. He received his medical degree from the University of Karachi, Pakistan. Dr. Latif's areas of special interest include mood disorders, anxiety disorders, acute and chronic mental illness, adult psychiatry, geriatric psychiatry, psychopharmacology and psychotherapy
   
Dashka Patel, M.D.
Daksha Patel, M.D. joined the medical staff in 2006. She is an adult psychiatrist and works with inpatients and outpatients. Dr. Patel is board certified by the American Board of Psychiatry & Neurology in General Psychiatry and Geriatric psychiatry. Dr. Patel received her medical degree from the SABA University School of Medicine, Netherlands Antilles. She completed her General Psychiatry residency and Geriatric fellowship at University of Virginia School of Medicine in Charlottesville, Virginia. Dr. Patel’s areas of special interest include treating outpatients age 60+ with dementia, mood disorders, anxiety disorders, and thought disorders.
   
Khendra Peay, M.D.
Khendra Peay, M.D. joined the Medical Staff in August, 2009 as a child and adolescent psychiatrist. She works in the hospital and outpatient services for children and adolescents. Dr. Peay is a graduate of the Virginia Commonwealth University, Medical College of Virginia School of Medicine, Richmond, Virginia. She completed her Psychiatry Residency, Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Fellowship, and Autism and Developmental Disabilities Fellowship at Indiana University, Indianapolis, Indiana. Dr. Peay has a special interest in treating pervasive developmental disorders, autism, developmental disabilities, and most general child and adolescent issues.
   
William G. Prescott, M.D.
William G. Prescott, M.D. has been on staff at Brook Lane since 1987. He is an adult outpatient psychiatrist. Dr. Prescott is board certified by the American Board of Psychiatry & Neurology in General Psychiatry with added qualifications for Geriatric Psychiatry, Addiction Psychiatry, Forensic Psychiatry, Administrative Psychiatry and Electro-convulsive Therapy. He received his medical degree from the University of Oregon Medical School. Dr. Prescott's areas of special interest include adult and geriatric psychiatry, psychopharmacology, electro-convulsive therapy, clinical neurosciences, affective disorders and sleep disorders.
   
Corvin V. Robinson, M.D.
Corvin V. Robinson, M.D. joined the Medical Staff in February 2009. He will be working with adolescents, adults, and elder adults in the hospital and in outpatient treatment. Dr. Robinson is a Diplomat of the National Board of Medical Examiners and holds certification in general psychiatry from the National Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. Dr. Robinson received his medical degree from the University of Arizona College of Medicine. He completed his Internship and Residency in Psychiatry at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center, Lebanon, New Hampshire. Dr. Robinson is a generalist, treating patients with all types of mental illness. He does have an interest in psychopharmacology and the interface of medical illness and psychiatry.
