
Description of Positions
Brook Lane offers a variety of positions in a broad array of programs and
services. We are always interested in talented, caring, compassionate, and
motivated people with skills in the following areas:
ADMISSIONS CLINICIANS, REGISTERED NURSE, AND COORDINATOR—responsible
for directing all admissions into the Brook Lane system and obtaining authorizations
for different levels of care; accountable for initial and/or emergency evaluations.
BEHAVIOR SPECIALISTS—function as members of the Education Department
to provide student care and instruction.
PATIENT ACCOUNT CLERKS—responsible for patient accounting functions,
collection of patient receivables, and filing of insurance claims.
CERTIFIED TEACHERS—function as members of the Education
Department, transitional care home, and partial hospitalization program to
provide educational services.
CLERICAL—consist of Receptionists and Secretarial Staff to support medical
records, human resources, development office, maintenance, and clinical programs.
DIETARY AIDES—responsible for meal preparation and meeting the nutritional
needs of the patient.
DIRECT CARE WORKERS—function as members of the multi-disciplinary treatment
team in the transitional care home providing direct child care; facilitates
child involvement in the prescribed therapeutic activities and services.
HOUSEKEEPERS—ensure the housekeeping needs of Brook Lane are met.
INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY—Network Manager and Network Technician are responsible
for the computer network and supporting computer systems.
LICENSED PRACTICAL NURSES—function as members of a multi-disciplinary
team providing nursing care to the inpatient unit and the transitional care
home.
LICENSED PROFESSIONAL COUNSELORS—provide professional counseling services
as a member of a multi-disciplinary staff. Counselors are utilized in the inpatient
program, outpatient program, partial hospitalization program, school, and transitional
care home.
LICENSED SOCIAL WORKERS—provide professional counseling services as
members of a multi-disciplinary staff. Counselors are utilized in the inpatient
program, outpatient program, partial hospitalization program, school, and transitional
care home.
MAINTENANCE—Mechanics and Groundskeepers/Painters all function to ensure
that the maintenance needs of Brook Lane are met.
MENTAL HEALTH ASSOCIATES—function as members of the inpatient multi-disciplinary
treatment team providing direct patient care to all ages as appropriate; facilitates
patient involvement in the prescribed therapeutic activities and services.
REGISTERED NURSES—function as members of the inpatient multi-disciplinary
treatment team providing nursing care to psychiatric patients in a safe, therapeutic
and professional manner; assure continuity of care; provide consultation, support
and supervision. In addition, registered nurses are utilized in our partial
hospitalization program, school, transitional care home, medication clinic,
infection control, admissions office, utilization review department, and administration.
