Andrea Allen is a certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner working with clients in outpatient therapy and patients in the Adult Partial Hospitalization Program on the main campus. She received a Bachelor of Science in nursing from Eastern Mennonite University, Harrisonburg, VA and a Master of Science in nursing for her Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner certification from Shenandoah University, Winchester, VA. Ms. Allen joined the medical staff in 2022.
Dr. Mohammed Azam is an adult psychiatrist providing inpatient services at our main campus. Dr. Azam is a Diplomate of the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. He received his medical degree from St. George's University School of Medicine in Grenada, West Indies and a Master of Arts in Medical Science from Loyola University in Chicago, IL. Dr. Azam joined the medical staff in 2024.
Dr. Burke is an admitting psychologist working in the inpatient unit. He holds a Doctorate degree in clinical psychology from the Catholic University of American in Washington, DC and a Juris Doctorate from the University of Maryland School of Law. He has been on staff since 1980. Dr. Burke also has clinical privileges at Western Maryland Health System in Cumberland, MD.
Shawna Chisholm is a certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner for Brook Lane’s inpatient, PHP, and outpatient programs. Ms. Chisholm received her Master of Science degree in nursing with a Family Nurse Practitioner specialization from Wheeling Jesuit University in Wheeling, WV and received her Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner certification at Liberty University in Lynchburg, VA. She joined the medical staff in 2023.
Jennifer Douglas is a certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner providing services in our inpatient unit. Ms. Douglas earned a Master of Science degree in nursing from Simmons University, Boston, MA. She received her post-graduate certificate to become a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner from Wilkes University Passan School of Nursing, Wilkes-Barre, PA. Ms. Douglas joined the medical staff in 2022.
Dr. Fawaz is an outpatient adult psychiatrist practicing on our main campus. He is certified by the American Board of Psychiatry & Neurology in both general psychiatry and addiction psychiatry. His areas of special interest include anxiety, depression, mood disorders, panic disorders and psychopharmacology. Dr. Fawaz received his medical degree from Spartan Health Sciences University, West Indies and completed his psychiatry residency at the University of Maryland. He served as the chief resident and following his residency completed a fellowship in addiction psychiatry. He has been on the medical staff since 1997.
Dr. Feldman is an adult and child/adolescent psychiatrist treating patients at our Frederick outpatient office. She is certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology in general psychiatry, child and adolescent psychiatry and addiction medicine. Dr. Feldman received her medical degree from Des Moines University and completed her general psychiatry residency at the Sheppard and Enoch Pratt Hospital. She later completed a fellowship in child and adolescent psychiatry at the Sheppard Pratt and University of Maryland Hospitals. Dr. Feldman also received a Master of Public Health degree in epidemiology from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, Michigan. She treats patients with autistic spectrum disorders, attention deficit hyper activity disorder, and anxiety, mood and psychotic disorders. Dr. Feldman joined the medical staff in 2020.
Meateran Funwi is a certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner in the inpatient unit on the main campus as well as in the outpatient office at the North Village location. Meateran earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Chamberlain University, a Master of Science in Nursing from Walden University, and a Doctor of Science in Nursing from Walden University. He joined the medical staff in 2023.
Dr. Gonzalez’s is an adult psychiatrist providing services in our inpatient unit. He also maintains an adult outpatient practice on our main campus. He is certified by the American Board of Psychiatry & Neurology in general psychiatry with added qualifications in geriatric psychiatry. His areas of special interest include mood disorders, psychotic disorders, anxiety disorders, electro-convulsive therapy and pharmacology. Dr. Gonzalez received his medical degree from the National University of Mexico. He has been on the Brook Lane staff since 1995.
Dawn Jenkins is a Doctor of Nursing Practice and certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner providing services to clients at our North Village Outpatient office. She earned her Master of Science in Nursing from Winston-Salem State University, Winston-Salem, NC. Ms. Jenkins received both her doctor of nursing practice and Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner certification from East Carolina University in Greenville, NC. She joined the medical staff in 2022.
Allyson Lawson is a certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner in the inpatient office on the main campus as well as in the outpatient office at the North Village location. Ms. Lawson earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing and a Master of Science in Nursing from the University of Colorado. She earned her certification as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner from the University of Delaware. She joined the medical staff in 2024.
Janevine Onyeanuna is a Doctor of Nursing Practice and certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner in Brook Lane’s Child & Adolescent Partial Hospitalization Program on our main campus. Ms. Onyeanuna received a Bachelor of Science degree in nursing from Walden State University and both her Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner degree and Doctor of Nursing Practice from Brandman University, Irvine, CA. She joined the medical staff in 2022.
Aisha Reikow is a certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner working on the inpatient unit and with clients in the High Acuity Respite Unit on the main campus. She received a Bachelor of Science in nursing from Immaculata University, Immaculata, PA, a Master of Science in nursing from the University of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia, PA and a post Masters from Widener University in Affirmative Therapy for Transgender Communities. Ms. Reikow joined the medical staff in 2020.
