The School-Based Mental Health Program is made possible through funding supported by Washington County. This allows Brook Lane’s presence in all Washington County middle and high schools, including the Family Center, Barbra Ingram School of Arts, Technical High School, and InnovatED Learning Center.
The program allows Brook Lane clinicians to provide counseling sessions to referred students on a short-term basis as needed right there in the school setting. This helps keep them invested in their learning, avoids attendance concerns, and helps attend to mental health needs right away. Students may use the program’s services as often as they need to, or as recommended by staff.
Brook Lane clinicians can help support teachers, guidance counselors, and administrators in crisis situations, as well as support students through their IEP or 504 journey. Additionally, this opens up opportunities to access other Brook Lane programs as needed.
