Loneliness in a Social Media-Driven Culture

We live in a world that is more connected than ever—and yet many people are experiencing profound loneliness, disconnection, and uncertainty about where they belong and what gives life meaning.
Join us for a day of conversation, reflection, and practical strategies as we explore the intersection of faith, mental health, community, and a social media-driven culture. Together, we will consider how individuals, families, faith communities, mental health professionals, and other community leaders can respond to the challenges of loneliness—not simply by understanding the problem, but by identifying meaningful ways to cultivate hope, connection, purpose, and belonging.
The day will feature thought-provoking presentations that bring together the mental health clinical community, faith leaders, and other community partners around shared challenges affecting individuals, families, and communities.
With 6 mental health continuing education hours available throughout the full-day program, the seminar creates a space for meaningful connection and exchange between mental health professionals and the faith community—exploring how we can work together to cultivate hope, connection, meaning, and purpose in a social media-driven culture.

Includes full-day seminar sessions, 6 CE hours, and Lite Lunch.

Brook Lane offers Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) trainings throughout the year to equip individuals and groups with the skills to recognize mental health and substance use challenges, provide initial support, and connect people with appropriate resources.
Private MHFA trainings are available for houses of faith, groups, organizations, and volunteers, and caring individuals interested in building confidence and readiness to support the mental health and well-being of their members and communities.
