School BusAugust is here and that means that back to school time is quickly approaching. The lazy days of summer are winding down and this can be a challenging time of year for children. It can bring about anxiety, causing unexplained moodiness and negative attitudes. Some kids struggle with getting back into a structured routine and others are already starting to experience stress as they think about the pressure to perform academically. This all can lead to your child feeling overwhelmed and frustrated.

Join Brook Lane school-based therapist, Rida Faridi, LCPC, as she shares a few tips to help decrease your child’s anxiety and get them ready for a smooth transition to ease back into the classroom this fall.

Rida Faridi, LCPC and National Certified Counselor, is a child & adolescent mental health therapist providing counseling services at Brook Lane’s North Village outpatient office and schools in Washington County. She works with individuals and their families to address concerns related to trauma, anxiety, mood disturbances, and family conflict. She enjoys building relationships with her clients and helping them achieve their goals of improving their mental health. Rida is certified in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy.
