Frustrated maleTrauma is defined as an emotional response to a terrible event. People often think of trauma as a reaction to abuse, terrorism or a catastrophic event and that is correct. Yet it can also be a response to frequent arguing, loss of a job or a loved one. Any traumatic event can overwhelm your capacity to cope and influence your mental well-being. Join Fred Nastri, LCPC as he shares about trauma, ways to cope, and learning to be more resilient.

Fred Nastri, LCPC, is a licensed clinical professional counselor providing therapy at Brook Lane’s North Village outpatient location. He has over 45 years of experience working in criminal justice, forensics and mental health. He is a frequent speaker on a variety of mental health topics. Fred’s unique background in working for the Maryland Department of Public Safety Corrections Services, Hagerstown City Police Department, and Brook Lane has provided valuable insight about traumatic events and how individuals react, process, and heal from traumatic experiences.
