Our thoughts, emotions, and behaviors are linked, therefore our thoughts can greatly impact how we feel and act. Negative thinking is something we all engage in from time to time, but if that negative thinking seriously affects the way you feel about yourself and the world or interferes with work/study and everyday functioning, you could have a mental illness. Constant negativity can contribute to problems such as social anxiety, depression, stress, and low self-esteem. Fortunately, there are ways to manage these unhelpful thoughts and not let them impact your quality of life. Join Brook Lane therapist Rena Arnold as she shares helpful strategies to change these thoughts or make them have less of an effect on your day to day functioning.
