Dr. Sangroula brings a strong combination of clinical excellence, academic leadership, and a deep commitment to advancing behavioral healthcare. He earned his medical degree (MBBS) from Kathmandu University College of Medical Sciences in Nepal and began his career practicing primary care medicine in his home country, where he developed a strong foundation in whole-person care.
He later moved to the United States to pursue his passion for psychiatry, completing his Psychiatry Residency at Jamaica Hospital Medical Center in New York, followed by a Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Fellowship at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center. His specialized training reflects a particular dedication to improving the lives of children, adolescents, and families.
Most recently, Dr. Sangroula has served with Atrium Health / Wake Forest School of Medicine, where he worked as an Assistant Professor of Psychiatry, an attending child and adolescent psychiatrist, and Assistant Program Director for the Psychiatry Residency Program. In these roles, he demonstrated a strong commitment to physician education, quality improvement, and developing the next generation of psychiatric providers.
